Reflecting On Summer Internship at Skylab Letterpress

This past summer I was an intern at Skylab Letterpress in Kansas City, MO. Through my time there, I learned all about letterpress printing, how the industry works, and was able to instill my interest in the art form. Overall, I was able to see how the business works from when the client brings in their work to the final product being shipped off. As my studio work is generally in the setting of fine art which contrasted in the commercial setting that my internship was in; however, it helped me see how a lucrative career can be made with my art. I even have many of the greeting cards that I printed for sale at Krimson Kultuur in Pittsburg, KS.
